Brighton is a very popular new and growing community. It is the first of several communities planned for the Holmwood Suburban Development Area on the east side of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  The community is bordered by College Drive to the north, 8th Street East to the south, the neighbourhood of College Park East to the west and southwest, and McOrmond Drive to the east. When completed, Brighton will be a primarily residential community, with some regional commercial areas. There is a wide range of residential properties including single family homes with attached or detached garages, semi detached homes, townhomes, and loft style condominiums. The neighbourhood is designed to be a visionary, master-planned community, with a park every 400 meters, and it is home to Saskatoon's largest wetland complex, offering natural and recreational amenities, including multiple playgrounds, green spaces, and walking paths. Brighton is home to the very popular Wilson's Lifestyle Centre  and Stoked Centre featuring lounges, restaurants, bowling, go cart track, and greenhouse and more. There are no schools currently open in Brighton, however there are future school spaces located centrally in the community. Students have access to neighbouring communities schools.
